How is a city added to this list?
A city gets a page when we can document it with official data: a population figure from a statistics office, the national broadband market, the VAT rate and the data protection authority, each with its source. Cities in the United Kingdom, Turkey, Cyprus, Russia and Belarus are outside the scope, and no city in occupied parts of Ukraine is listed.

Can I target a city that is not in the list?
Ask support first. We list only cities we have documented, and the client area shows the cities available in each country through the catalogue.
Why are some capitals missing?
Cities in the United Kingdom, Turkey, Cyprus, Russia and Belarus are outside the scope of this site. Very small capitals such as Valletta or Vaduz have no page because their population is too small to document separately.
Is the population figure the city or the metro area?
Each city page names the scope of its figure, usually the municipality, and adds the functional urban area from Eurostat where available.
