City targeting proxy costs: 12 providers compared

City targeting is the core of a city proxy, so its price matters more than the headline rate. Here is what 12 providers say about it on their own pages, quoted word for word.

Quick answer

Do proxy providers charge extra for city targeting?

Mostly not. On 18 October 2026, eight of 12 residential proxy providers listed city targeting as included in their plans, on their own pages. DataImpulse bills city traffic at double its standard rate. EuroCity Proxies includes city and ASN targeting on every plan, from $0.95 for 1 GB, with no KYC.

Prices per GB in USD, excluding VAT, from the same reading as the price index. "Not stated" means the page names city targeting without saying whether it costs more.

Why does a surcharge matter more for city proxies?

If every request you send is city-targeted, the surcharge applies to all of your traffic. A $1.00 per GB rate billed at double is a $2.00 per GB rate for city work, higher than several offers that look more expensive on the headline.

Read the targeting page as well as the pricing page. A surcharge is often written in the documentation of the parameter, not next to the price.

How the parameter works is explained in residential proxy with city targeting; our own tiers are on the pricing page, and providers are scored in the 2026 ranking and compared one by one, for example as a Decodo alternative.

What else changes the real price of a city IP?

  • Offer type. Monthly plans reset or roll over for a limited time; prepaid traffic may never expire. Prepaid residential and rotating-mobile traffic never expires: unused GB stay on your account until you use them.
  • Minimum purchase. Some offers start at 5 GB or 10 GB. At EuroCity Proxies the smallest plan is 1 GB ($0.95), paid from a $25 top-up whose remainder stays on your balance.
  • City availability. No provider in this list guarantees a given city. City availability varies; the checkout shows what is online. No IP count is published.
  • ID checks. Some offers need a KYC review before the first purchase; see the price index for each provider's wording.

City targeting costs: FAQ

Does EuroCity Proxies charge for ASN targeting?

No. Country and city targeting on every plan; in the United States also state and ZIP code; ASN targeting at no extra cost. City availability varies. City and ASN can be combined in one username at the same price per GB.

Is ZIP code targeting available for European cities?

No. Several providers offer ZIP targeting in the United States only. At EuroCity Proxies, the finest level in Europe is the city; for postcode checks, type the postcode on the site you test.

Why do some providers write "where available"?

Because residential IPs come from devices that go on and off line. No provider can promise a city at every moment, and the clause says so. Our wording is: City availability varies; the checkout shows what is online. No IP count is published.

Where are the prices of all tiers?

In the European city proxy price index, with four volumes per provider and the same reading date.
