## What happens if I combine several filters?

Each filter makes the matching pool smaller. A country alone gives the widest choice, a city narrows it, and a city plus an ASN narrows it again.

If no IP matches, the connection fails or the gateway falls back to a wider match, so read the exit location with an IP lookup before you rely on it. ## Can I target a region, a state or a postcode in Europe?

### Is the country code upper or lower case?

Lower case in the username: `-country-de`, `-country-pl`. The API catalogue uses upper case in its paths (`GET /v1/catalog/countries/DE/cities`). Both refer to the same ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code. Terms such as ASN and ISO code are defined in the [glossary](https://eurocityproxies.com/glossary/).

### Does finer targeting cost more?
